Local Roots; Global Reach: Delivering Distilling Expertise to the World
29th May - 1th June 2017

A wide range of experts from the global distilling industry will be congregating in Glasgow in 2017 to share their knowledge and latest thinking on all aspects of the spirits sector.

The Scottish Section of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling is hosting the sixth Worldwide Distilled Spirits Conference (WDSC) from 29th May to 1st June at the Hilton Hotel in the centre of Glasgow, with hundreds of delegates expected to attend. The theme of the 2017 conference is Local roots; global reach: delivering distilling expertise to the world.

The origins of the event can be traced back to Institute of Brewing conferences in Aviemore, first held in the early 1980s. Since those small beginnings, the conference has expanded to become the world’s leading gathering dedicated to distilled spirits.

The 2017 conference will be a forum for industry and academic experts, along with trade and commercial partners, to meet and discuss all aspects of distilling.

We will deliver a thought-provoking programme of presentations and posters, an extensive trade exhibition and novel social events and networking opportunities. We look forward to welcoming all the conference participants and delegates to Glasgow.
